Bouncing into your world on 17 January 2007 @ 8:18 p.m.
Last week I was in major strop mode and would not update as my EVIL scales said I put on 7lbs. Today, I am very very happy as I have lost that this week and back down to 16st 1lb (225lbs) again. I couldn't be happier. It would have taken alot to make it worse than last week. Today I have done 2 things that I would classify as something very out of the ordinary for me. Maybe not that odd but I honestly can't remember the last time I sat at this computer table with a diet coke. I used to drink 2 cans a day. Last time I bought 12 cans of coke was last Tuesday or Wednesday. I still have 8 cans in my fridge. I don't need so much sugar. My body is benefitting without it and I don't even miss/need it. Secondly, I have put my bike away after only 10 miles tonight. I could do with an easy night. But I don't feel "finished." It's too early to be done for the night so I could easily finish the further 5 miles before bed tonight. 15 miles seems to be my new objective and beyond that is a bonus. I used to be happy with 10 miles and 15 was extraordinary for me. Now 15 seems the norm. I have done alot of walking about too and had a non diet day. Crunchy Nut Cornflakes for breakfast (second breakfast this year) McDonalds for lunch - Beef Deli Sandwich, Fries and Diet coke, salad sandwiches for tea with coleslaw in them. I also had a flake as a treat. So nothing excessive but a relaxed eating day where I ate what I wanted this afternoon. Back to business tomorrow and going to have the detox weekend of fresh soup and water again as it really did make me feel energised and envigourated to start the week with just one day on it. I apologise for all the nasty things I say about Gillian McKeith. She is a cow but bloody hell, a day on her sort of regime and I feel amazing, god knows how bouncy I will be after 2 days on it. I am looking forward to it. I would never be able to do it for 8 weeks though like her subjects.(Please go and Looky Here for details on the new series) I mean, with all good intentions, is it really that good to live on a diet without meat and dairy indefinitely. Think of the lack of calcium for one thing. Who wants to live a life eating veg and suppliments? These people may lose 28-30lbs in 8 weeks but this is not normal eating. I'd like a recap programme 1 year on and see how these people have changed. It wouldn't work in the long term mark my words. The only way to lose weight is sensibly. Don't cut EVERYTHING out but reduce it. Have treats just watch what you eat. A little of this and that is not a problem from time to time.
Currently: 13st 7lb. 189lbs. Total loss: 6st 13lb. 100lbs.
