Good Day Gone Downhill

Hmmm, I am getting back into that BAD habit of snacking later and later in the evening. Out of habit more than anything and although I am snacking on the "right things" like raw veg and fruit. I feel guilty doing so.

Weekends are always worst for some reason.

I started off so well yesterday but I know I ate FAR too much and far too much of the wrong things.

Dinner was sweet and spicy chicken and veg kebabs I made myself. 200g chicken breast diced and marinaded in a concoction of soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, cranberry sauce and a green chili with a touch of garlic and ginger stir fry oil which I designed myself. (I should be a tv chef) That had 3/4 red pepper, 3/4 green pepper and 2 medium onions tossed in. Put on skewers and grilled in my George Foreman grill and that was delicious. I didn't even have any pitta bread. Just 4 HEALTHY little kebabs. They were lovely. Then I started on a donut, a mini packet of cadbury's chocolate animals and half a cadburys creme egg (I don't even like them) then I had tuna and red pepper pitta for tea and snacked on kiwi fruit, a carrot, cup a soup and another pitta bread.

I guess I was having a hungry Saturday. But I kept up the 15 miles cycling, 45 minute walk and press ups so I didn't feel that guilty when I worked out I had burned over 600cals by exercising. Kinda cancels out the donut and chocolate things.

Back to normal today though.

About to cook a sickeningly healthy meal. Grilled Salmon with new potatoes, broccoli, green beans and sugar snap peas with a dash of chili dressing on the salmon. Yummy and nutritious at the same time and at least I will fill up on the better things today and steer clear of all the chocolate things.
